Amanda is a Family Nurse Practitioner who grew up in rural Colorado with a passion to serve others. After graduating from Genoa-Hugo, she attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley receiving her Bachelors in Nursing. She obtained her Masters in Nursing at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs as a Family Nurse Practitioner graduating with honors. Amanda enjoys the variety that family practice offers and caring for family units as a whole. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
Preston Heinen FNP-C
Preston is a Family Nurse Practitioner who grew up in Canon City, Colorado. He went to the United States Coast Guard Academy, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Science before obtaining a Master’s Degree in Education from Lesley University. A passion for education led Preston to a fourteen-year teaching career in Boston, Massachusetts, where he taught Math and Science to Elementary and Middle School children. However, he always wanted to work in medicine because his Grandma, Mother and Sister were nurses. Preston returned to Colorado to be near family during nursing school at CSU-Pueblo and his Master’s Degree at Chamberlain University. Preston enjoys spending time with his family and friends in his free time.
Shelby Duffey AGACNP-BC/FNP-BC
Shelby is a dually certified adult/ geriatric acute care and family nurse practitioner. She started her nursing journey as a certified nursing assistant at a nursing home and then attended Lone Star College in Houston, Texas to obtain her Associate’s degree in Nursing. She then obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Western Governors University. She has worked as a registered nurse in the acute care setting for the past six years. Shelby graduated from Colorado State University- Pueblo with her Master’s degree in December 2023. She has always had a passion for serving others and a dream to do more for her patients which led to the decision to become a nurse practitioner. Shelby enjoys seeing patients of all ages and getting to know all of them for more than their healthcare needs. In her spare time, Shelby enjoys road trips, photography, and spending time with her husband, two Pomeranians, and the rest of her family.
